Greenwich Village Cologne by Bond No. 9, Greenwich Village is a men’s and women’s Oriental floral fragrance with musky, amber, fresh, fruity, and sweet main accords. The scent is ideal for fall and spring days and nights. At the top are notes of litchi, cassis, and mandarin orange. Jasmine, water lily, and peony comprise the middle notes while ambroxan, vanilla, praline, oakmoss, and musk make up the base notes. Expect brief longevity and enormous sillage from this concoction.
Bond No. 9 was founded in 2003 by Laurice Rahme, a beauty and perfume industry veteran. Rahme previously worked for Lancome and L’Oreal before being mentored by the late Annick Goutal and becoming a distributor for Creed fragrances. The brand name comes from the address of the company headquarters in New York City. The same address also houses its boutique. The fragrance names honor New York City neighborhoods, landmarks, and geography. Rahme leads the development of each fragrance and its bottle design. All products are original, authentic name brands. This is a great fall night or spring night fragrance. Although, I believe it could wear well in temperature controlled environments. This is a very nice gourmande scent with a lovely tonka/vanilla base. Highly recommend but be warned this does lean feminine, so may not be suited for all men.
