good product that requires some time to assemble I haven’t had any issues with the claw machine so far. Putting it together was a little more time consuming then I thought it would be and the instructions are not perfect but its as advertised after 3-4 months of light use on the weekends. Wish it had a coin system to slow down the play rate , my sisters kids can empty the machine in a hour if left unregulated.

Bought the 1Up claw machine thinking it’d be a fun, quality addition to the game room. Instead, it stopped working shortly after setup, (claw won’t go left) and dealing with customer service has been a headache.
I’m on day 3 of emailing info and videos to support and the only solution they’ve offered is try to unplug it and plug it back in……
At this price point, I expected better build quality and way better support. It’s frustrating to spend this much money on a machine that doesn’t work and a support team that won’t work with you. Save yourself the trouble.

This claw machine is very well built, the parts seem very sturdy and should last long. The build was easy to make with clear instructions. The game itself is great, a lot of fun playing. The only suggestion I have is I wish there were different sized claws. The stock one really only picks up very big prizes, like the capsules that come with it. Anything small, like rubber ducks, are really hard to grab. Other than that, if you used the capsules that come with it, it works great.

I’ve seen other reviews, so maybe I’m in the minority, but I purchased this when it was first released, and have had zero issues. The claw drops as expected, and is a ton of fun. My 4 year old loves the thing. She’s playing everyday. It’s very easy to set up, and is a perfect size.

I feel really bad for the folks who apparently received duds, but I’m happy to report that our claw machine works perfectly. It arrived well packaged and undamaged. It took about 2.5 hours to unpack and assemble (probably closer to 3 hours if you factor in time to break down all the cardboard for recycling). While it was time-consuming, the instructions were straight-forward. Everything was well engineered to line up perfectly, a pleasant surprise compared to some of the furniture I’ve assembled.
My wife and I have been testing it out for the past month or so, and it was a huge hit on Christmas morning, when our kids (ages 4, 11, and 14) used it for about an hour straight. Three very happy kids and absolutely zero problems so far. I will update this review if something breaks, but for now we couldn’t be happier. It looks very slick and feels high quality, especially for the price, which is significantly cheaper than anything I could find on the used market once freight shipping is factored in.
A couple minor notes:
-The included plastic balls take some effort and finesse to open and close.
-The assembly instructions said not to use power tools, but I used a power drill on the lowest torque setting with no problems.
-Some folks complain about the low weight rating. We didn’t bother to weigh anything. We just used common sense, and the claw was able to pick up everything just fine.

After all the money I’ve poured into this company they keep sending me garbage. Broke before I was even able to bring the box to the dumpster. Good thing too. Because to return it you need to DISASSEMBLE THE THING AND PUT IT BACK IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX. the claw got stuck and i figured out both the motors had fried because they weren’t engaging at all. Never even got to put prizes in it. Just the little plastic balls it comes with. Absolutely horrible. DO NOT BUY!!! $500 down the drain. After years of supporting this company and countless arcade machines I will never be buying another product from this company again. Worlds biggest paperweight.

First of all, I own quite a few Arcade1ups. I was ready to consider the collection complete… Until I saw the Claw! Contrary to other reviews the claw works just fine. No problems at all and it’s a strong grip under the “normal” setting.
My only complaint is the light. When the Claw operates it moves with arcade music in the background (which is a nice touch by the way). But the light needs improvement. It blinks on and off. When it blinks off there is no light whatsoever. It’s pitch black if your room doesn’t have enough background light. That’s just odd. It should alternate between on and dim or on and a different color.
So I bought a color changing puck which I plan on attaching to the ceiling of the machine so when the main light goes off there will still be an alternative colored light instead of pitch black.
Other than that I’m very happy with the product and am having fun trying different types of prizes to see what’s best to fill the Claw machine with.
I say get one and… Enjoy!
