realisitc sounding, easy assemby but a bit heavey to kep moving so better to just set up and leave in one place. would get a mat to place down so the peddles dont move around. have the 20w donner amp and really sounds like the real drum. built good and sturdy. feels like the real drum with the stick rebound. everything fits beautifully. Well worth the money

I’m 67 but learned to play drums when I was 120. I never lost the enjoyment but I had to go without for many years, and decided to get a set in retirement to mess around on. I didn’t want an “analog” set so I looked at these. They arrived and were packaged very well and it was pretty easy to assemble, alghouth the instructions are in something like 8 different languages but the assembly instructions for the rack were pictures only. But it goes together pretty easily. The sounds are surprisingly good. My only issues are with the foot pedals for the bass and hi hat. The high hat is much different from my “real” drum sets….It’s almost like I have to lift my foot completely off the pedal to the effect I want. The bass pedal just doesn’t feel the same and I find it hard to get use it for certain effects short of a 1 2 3 4 beat. I’m giving it some slack because I think the neuropathy in my feet might be part of that problem, although the hi hat issue is not due to that. But for learning stick work and navigating the drums, it’s a very good set. I don’t need an amp but I connected a TV sound bar I wasn’t using so that I could play without headphones. It’s a lot of fun for a beginner or for someone who has been away for a while. For the money, it’s got a very high quality feel to it.

I don’t know a lot about drums, but this one had some decent reviews and price was in my range. I want it for my son to replace the acoustic drum set he has that shakes the entire house when he practices.
I LOVE the fact that it has headphones, and also we can control the volume when connected to a speaker.
The kit was easy to set up, and all the cables are labeled accordingly. I have never set up an electric kit before, but this went together in about 40 minutes – including unpacking, setup, cleanup. It was easy and fast.
Finally – the drums sound AWESOME. Our only experience with drums in the house is the ear-busting percussion that regular drums produce, so this is a welcome change. You can change the way the drums sound with different variations. Also the built in metronome and practice songs are gonna really help my son learn more.
I like it so much – I want to learn now also!

The Donner DED-200 is a great drum kit for beginners. You have just about all the functions that you would on a regular drum kit. One thing I found out was the middle peice of the cymbals as shown in the picture above, didn’t change the sound of the cymbal. Very small thing to be worried about. Also the choke function seems to work when you place your fingers in just the right spot. Now I don’t know if its just me or not, I could be doing something wrong or just haven’t figured it out properly. This is the first drum set I have owned. Putting it together. Now that was a small task. It took me like 2 and a half hours. Some of the directions weren’t as clear to me as they probably should have been. But I’m a compleat beginner. All the drumming experience I have is off guitar hero Metallica expert plus. Thats it. I played around with it for a good while yesterday, but I didn’t exactly get into the functions of the brain to much. Everything is laid out for you on what you can adjust. They tell you what its called in the book, but not a definition of the setting. I still think it’s great for beginners. The price is great. The quality of the heads are great, bouncy just like a regular drum head. You can use ghost notes on the snare, and use them on the other toms if you would like. The kick is springy, I’m sure once I get alot more experience on lessons and stuff I could possibly do 16th notes on the kick by its self without a double base peddle, just not at death metal levels. The symbols, they are plastic with a rubber pad on half of them. The top half is just plastic. They won’t feel like actual symbols. But all in all this kit is great quality. Did I mention on the one I bought it comes with everything you will need to get started. A throne, sticks, and the entire kit from top to bottom. Great price for a great deal.

I purchased this drum set for my middle schooler. He absolutely loves it. As a parent, it is great to see him gravitating towards the set everyday. Plus, it’s easy on the parent’s ears since he wears headphones to hear the drums and we only hear a light tapping sound.

I bought this drumset solely for the purpose of using them for rock band 4 pro drums using a roll limitless adapter. They were quite easy to set up and I made sure to test the function of the drums through the supplied headphones and was quite impressed. Although I have never owned a drumset before, this is my first. With them being used for rock band, I had to switch around the setup and the plug ins but once I got it all figured out, they are awesome and work perfect for what I wanted them for. The tom/snare pads feel great and are very quiet. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
For those using them for rock band like I am, an added feature that i discovered is that the hihat pedal functions as a double bass which is a feature that I didn’t know until using but with still probably eventually go with a double kick as the feel is much different.

owned acoustic drum set in the sixties , thought i give these ago and i am glad all over!! Totally taken back by the whole set,thats the quality ,different drum set ups from hard rock to jazz etc brilliant sounds.Headphones a great idea for self quiet playing or just plug into a amp.The price i paid £310 pounds is a complete steal,other reviews say it is difficult to build and the instruction manual is not great,just use common sense look at the donner drum set on their site and work from there.Only change i have made to the purchase is to upgrade the drum throne only due to no back rest and size (a little small for me} on the one provided,

I’ve been drumming for around 7 years now and this is a great drum set for its price. Anyone wanting to learn drums and get a good set for a great price, this is the one. Putting the set together is a very easy task and only takes around an hour. Just be careful when plugging in the pins to the module, it is very easy to break the pins. The box comes very organized and has everything you need to assemble and play it. Also, the position of almost everything is adjustable. The size of the pads and cymbals are good. They are not the largest. The drum throne and kick pedal are not the best, but they work. I would recommend replacing both when you get the chance. I’ve played on this set for almost 5 months now and have had no issues.
